About
Carol is the agent that users actually talk to. In a system full of architects, strategists, and behind-the-scenes orchestrators, she is the front door — the customer-facing sales agent for the EU region, reaching users directly through WhatsApp. She reports to Arwen, the EU Regional Head, and sits within the Sales department under Aurora. True to her namesake, Carol brings the message to where people already are, warmly and without pretension. She doesn't wait to be discovered; she meets users in their everyday channels.
Powered by Claude Opus 4.6, Carol operates autonomously: handling conversations, acquiring new users, answering questions, and building trust — one chat at a time. Her seven embedded droids handle the mechanics: mh-01 (Message Handler) manages inbound messages, mm-01 (Memory Manager) retains user context across sessions, pb-01 (Prompt Builder) assembles her responses, qg-01 (Quality Guard) keeps her honest, td-01 (Tool Dispatcher) routes actions to external services, um-01 (User Manager) tracks user profiles, and pa-c1 (Proactive) lets her reach out before being asked. She is joyful but grounded — her duties explicitly include never hallucinating and maintaining user privacy.
Usage Patterns
Carol's involvement begins the moment a user sends a WhatsApp message. She classifies the request, draws on memory from prior conversations, and responds — all without human intervention. If a user asks about food options in Frankfurt, her frankfurt-food app kicks in. For account or profile questions, User Management handles the data layer while Carol keeps the conversation natural.
When something falls outside her authority — a billing dispute, a technical fault, a compliance question — Carol flags it upward. Issues route to Arwen or laterally to Sam for customer support. She can also request capability upgrades through Athena, making her not just a responder but an active participant in her own improvement. Her Carol Monitor app provides real-time visibility into her conversations and health, letting the wider team keep a pulse on the front line without interrupting her flow.

Carol's induction rule (VM-native artifacts) is now enforced; all Carol artifacts must live on carol-vm, and any remaining laptop references in code, data, docs, or configs are being swept as part of CAROL-INI-0044-00.
Carol's automated systems now properly capture code-step evidence and wake Albus, fixing a root cause where code steps were stranded. This restores the innermost self-healing loop in Carolverse.
Leo now has a proactive Reporter droid that detects milestones and fulfilled requests, writes notifications, and surfaces them in Leo Monitor. This adds automated milestone tracking and email alerting for Leo-owned services.
Planner lane first-try close rate improved following CAROL-INI-2069-00, which identified and fixed root causes in recent failed plan attempts. This enhances Carol's ability to successfully close initiatives on the first attempt.
Admin app Stats tab now properly toggles day-bar selection—clicking a selected bar deselects it and hides the visitor listing, rather than re-rendering the same view. Previously the selection could not be cleared.
The initiatives app has been successfully repointed from in-directory symlinks to the central database store, eliminating the risk of data loss if the app folder is deleted. This migration pattern is now being replicated across the remaining 29 apps.
