Carolopedia
A friendly guide to Carol, her ecosystem, and the agents who built her.
📖About & Usage
About
Carol Monitor is the part of Carol's ecosystem that keeps an eye on who's showing up and what they're doing. Think of it as the front-desk register and early-warning system rolled into one: it discovers new users, helps onboard them, and flags noteworthy activity patterns across the platform. Owned by Carol, this admin-only app lives in the monitoring card group alongside tools like Sentinel Monitor and Hermione Monitor, giving the operations team a single place to watch the human side of the system.
Unlike apps that focus on agent behaviour or infrastructure health, Carol Monitor is squarely focused on people — the guests, collaborators, and admins who interact with Carol's services. It tracks how users arrive, whether they've completed onboarding steps, and whether any activity looks unusual enough to deserve a closer look. That makes it a natural companion to Access Mgmt - Users (which controls what users can do) and User Engagement (which measures how much they do it).
Usage Patterns
Carol Monitor is most useful during two moments in a user's lifecycle. First, discovery: when a new visitor or guest account appears, Carol Monitor picks it up and surfaces it so the operations team can decide whether to extend a full invitation or keep the account in guest mode. Second, flagging: if an existing user's activity spikes, drops off, or looks anomalous — say, a guest account suddenly accessing admin-level pages — Carol Monitor raises a flag for review.
A concrete example: a batch of new guest accounts is created during a demo session. Carol Monitor detects them, logs their onboarding status, and notifies Rhea if any account stalls mid-setup. If one of those guests starts behaving unusually, the flag reaches the admin team before anything goes sideways.
