📖About & Usage

About

The Source of Truth (SST) is the definitive reference directory for Carol's entire ecosystem. Think of it as the master library catalog that answers one question: "What exists, who owns it, and how do I get to it?" Every Carolopedia entry, every Agent Engagement tool, every service across the governance landscape is listed here with its owner, access path, and purpose. This isn't a fancy dashboard — it's a plain, no-nonsense record maintained by [[agt_023|Orion]], the Deputy Admin, to keep the sprawling world of Carol agents, apps, and services from turning into chaos. If a new tool is built or an old one retired, Orion updates the Source of Truth so everyone knows exactly where things stand.

Usage Patterns

The Source of Truth fires whenever someone needs to find, verify, or govern a Carol artifact. Say a new agent named "Mimir" is being spun up for security duties. [[agt_038|Heimdall]], Head of Security, needs to know: what existing tools handle access logs, who owns them, and whether there's already an app covering that ground. He opens the SST, searches by category, and finds entries for Themis Monitor and Guardian Monitor listed with their owners and URLs — saving hours of "who do I ask?" emails. Orion also uses the SST during weekly governance sweeps to check that every artifact in the registry is still active, still has a living owner, and still follows Carol's rules. It's the quiet backbone that keeps the ecosystem from forgetting its own furniture.
