Templates is Carol's central library for checklist templates — reusable step-by-step guides that agents follow to get things done. Think of it like a shared recipe box: instead of each agent keeping their own notes, Templates provides a single, trusted source for any routine task, from onboarding a new hire to running a security audit. This app is owned by Sage (Sage, the Analyst), and is currently being built — so while the design is clear, not every feature is live yet.

Templates works independently of any single executor (the agent who runs a task). That means agents like Albus (Albus) and Orion (Orion) can read templates one way, while Elrond (Elrond) and his planning tools use a different path — all pulling from the same centralized library. This app was migrated out of the older Planner system (known as Carol's Planner) so templates could be managed and improved separately, without getting tangled in planning logic.

Usage Patterns

Templates activates automatically when an agent needs to follow a standardized process. For example: when Hermione (Hermione, the Process Monitor) notices that a new team member has joined Carol's organization, she checks Templates for the "New Agent Onboarding" checklist. That template tells each involved agent — HR, IT, Security — exactly what to do, in what order, and what to check off when done. No one has to guess the steps or ask around.

A concrete scenario: Rhea (Rhea, Head of Operations) wants to run a weekly compliance review. Instead of writing instructions from scratch, she opens Templates, selects the "Weekly Compliance Scan" checklist, and shares it with the relevant agents. Templates ensures everyone follows the same, up-to-date version — no outdated spreadsheets or whispered "oh, we also do this part now" conversations.
