📖About & Usage
About
The Services Catalogue is the Carolverse’s business directory. Think of it as a phone book crossed with a company dashboard: for every service in Carol’s ecosystem, it lists who owns it, who works on it, its profit-and-loss (P&L) snapshot, and a direct link to that service’s own app. Originally created on June 15, 2026, and owned by Midas (Head of Finance), the Catalogue exists so anyone in Carol’s organization can quickly understand which service does what, who’s in charge of it, and whether it’s making money — without needing to dig through technical infrastructure. It’s essentially the “org chart” for services, treating each one as a mini business rather than just a piece of code. You can find it at `/dev/services-catalogue/` on port 7179, though access is restricted to admin-level users.
Usage Patterns
The Services Catalogue is most useful when someone needs to check the financial or operational health of a specific service. Say Galadriel, the Product Owner, wants to see why the Azure Cost Tracker app seems to be running over budget. She opens the Services Catalogue, finds that app’s entry, and immediately sees its owner (perhaps a different agent), its current P&L, and a link to the app’s own detailed dashboard. She can click through to ask questions or request a review — without having to track down who’s responsible. The Catalogue also fires when Midas runs periodic financial reviews: it automatically surfaces every service with its financial snapshot, giving him a bird’s-eye view of which parts of the Carolverse are thriving and which need attention.
