📖About & Usage

About

The RSI Dashboard (or simply RSI, port 7268, at `/dev/rsi/`) is the one-stop shop for tracking every RSI measure across Carol's entire ecosystem. Think of it as a catalogue-style landing page: you arrive and see a list of every service that has RSI data, like a menu. Click a service, and the measures for that service appear as easy-to-navigate tabs. Every measure uses the identical trend-layout design, so once you learn one, you can read them all. No more hopping between separate apps.

Why does this exist? Before the RSI Dashboard, Carol had four standalone RSI apps — and people had to remember which one held which data. That was confusing. This app replaces all four (in a move known internally as CAROL-INI-2230), giving everyone a single, consistent view. It was built by Prometheus (Prometheus, Head of Quality Management), who is responsible for keeping quality data clear and accessible across Carol. The dashboard is currently available to authenticated users — anyone with a Carol login can see it — and it plays nicely with related quality tools like the Quality Scorecard and Process Health Scorecard.

Usage Patterns

The RSI Dashboard fires any time someone needs to check or compare RSI data across services. Here’s a concrete example: Themis (Themis, Head of Legal & Compliance) wants to see how her team’s compliance-check service is trending this month. She opens the RSI Dashboard, spots "Compliance Checker" in the service catalogue, clicks it, and sees a tab for each measure (e.g., "Response Time," "Error Rate"). Each tab shows the same clean trend graph she’s used to from other services — no learning curve. She can quickly spot a spike in error rates and alert her team. Ninad or another developer could also use this dashboard to compare RSI trends across all services at a glance, without opening four different apps. It’s the single source of truth for RSI measures.
