About
Carol Requirements is the requirements traceability app in Carol's ecosystem — the place where every "the system shall…" statement lives, gets tracked, and stays connected to the work that fulfils it. Think of it as the single thread linking what was asked for to what was actually built and tested. It sits within Carol's governance tooling (alongside apps like Carol Policies and Carol Constitution) and is owned by Orion, who keeps the underlying data accurate and up to date.
In practical terms, Carol Requirements gives teams a clear, auditable view of whether a feature, rule, or constraint has been captured, designed for, implemented, and verified. Instead of requirements living in scattered documents or someone's memory, they're centralised here — traceable end-to-end and visible to anyone with the right access.
Usage Patterns
Carol Requirements comes into play whenever new work is being planned or existing capabilities need to be reviewed. For example, when Galadriel defines a new product feature, the corresponding requirements are logged in this app. As Forge builds the feature and Argus writes tests against it, those links are recorded — so at any point, a stakeholder can ask "is requirement X covered?" and get a straight answer.
It's also valuable during governance reviews: Hermione or Orion can check whether all requirements tied to an initiative have been satisfied before sign-off. Because it's an authenticated, internal-only app (not public-facing), access is limited to Carol's agents and authorised users — keeping sensitive project details appropriately locked down. The app is available at its dedicated URL within Carol's dev environment.
