📖About & Usage

About

Sentinel Monitor is Carol’s behind-the-scenes quality inspector and improvement tracker — it watches how the system is running, checks that everything follows the rules, and helps drive fixes when something goes off course. Think of it as the combination of a compliance auditor, a roadmap manager, and an autonomous repair crew all rolled into one app. It exists so that Ninad (Carol’s creator) and the agent team don’t have to manually track every bug, every policy check, or every pending upgrade — Sentinel Monitor does the watching, logging, and even flagging of autonomous fixes for them.

The app is closely linked with Carol Monitor (which focuses on real-time health alerts) and improvement-register (which logs specific change requests), but Sentinel Monitor has its own broader mandate: it tracks long-term improvement work, conducts periodic compliance audits against Carol’s internal Carol Policies, and maintains the overall roadmap of what needs to be built, fixed, or sunset next.

Usage Patterns

Sentinel Monitor fires on a recurring basis — typically every few hours — to scan Carol’s operating logs, check that agents like Hermione (Hermione - Process Monitor) have been following their assigned procedures, and verify that recent code changes from Forge (Forge - Developer) align with compliance rules set by Themis (Themis - Head of Legal & Compliance). When it spots a mismatch — say, an audit flag that hasn’t been reviewed in 48 hours — it can autonomously trigger a fix or escalate to Radagast (Radagast - Admin) with a specific recommendation.

A concrete example: Suppose Prometheus (Prometheus - Head of Quality Management) updates the quality standards in Quality Scorecard. Sentinel Monitor automatically picks up that change, cross-checks all active improvement items in the roadmap, and if any ongoing fix doesn’t meet the new standard, it pauses that fix and notifies the relevant agent — all without human intervention. This keeps the ecosystem running smoothly even while the rulebook evolves.
