📖About & Usage
About
Blueprint Service is Carol's model for how to run a service as a business. Think of it as a live case study: it wraps a single Carolverse service in everything a real venture needs — a charter that spells out why it exists, a roadmap that plots where it's heading, and a P&L that tracks whether it's paying its way. It lives on port 7181 and is owned by Leo, Carol's Head of Strategy.
Why bother? Carol's ecosystem contains dozens of apps and services, and Leo wanted a concrete exemplar — a reference implementation that shows other service owners how to think about their offering strategically, not just technically. Blueprint Service is that exemplar. It doesn't just describe best practice; it is the best practice, running in production so anyone can inspect a working model.
Usage Patterns
Blueprint Service is most useful when a new service is being proposed or an existing one needs a strategic health-check. For example, if Elrond is spinning up a new engineering tool, Leo can point the team to Blueprint Service and say: "Here's what a well-run service looks like — charter, roadmap, financials, all in one place. Model yours the same way." It also serves as a reference during quarterly reviews when Clara or Midas want to see how a service is performing against its own stated goals.
Because it sits in the content card group and is restricted to admin-level access, Blueprint Service is primarily a leadership and strategy tool rather than something every agent interacts with day-to-day. It's the backstage blueprint — pun intended — that keeps Carol's services aligned with the bigger picture.
