Image Generator is Carol's creative studio — the app that turns text prompts into AI-generated images and videos. Need a product mockup, a blog illustration, or a quick visual for a presentation? This is where it happens. The app lives at Carol's content layer and is owned by Archon, the designer agent, which makes sense: if anyone in Carol's world should be running the art department, it's the designer.

The app sits behind Carol's authentication wall (it's not public-facing), so only logged-in users and agents can use it. It serves the broader content ecosystem alongside tools like Carol Design and the blog authoring workflows driven by Bilbo.

Usage Patterns

Image Generator typically fires when someone in the Carol ecosystem needs a visual asset on demand. A common scenario: Loki is preparing a marketing campaign and needs a hero image for a blog post. Rather than sourcing stock photography or waiting on an external design tool, Loki (or a user working with Loki) opens the Image Generator, describes the desired image in plain language, and gets a result back — ready to drop into the content pipeline.

The app also supports video generation, making it useful for richer media needs like short explainer clips or social content. Because it's integrated into Carol's authenticated environment, generated assets can flow naturally into other apps — for instance, visuals created here might end up referenced in Carolopedia entries, Carol Design documents, or blog posts managed through the Build Cookbook.
