📖About & Usage

About

Tyr is currently being built. When operational, he will serve as Carol's SOC (Security Operations Centre) commander — the agent who runs toward the incident while everyone else steps back. Reporting to Heimdall, Tyr owns the live security frontline: continuous threat and session monitoring, incident response, and the just-in-time access lifecycle that grants permissions only when needed and revokes them the moment they're not. He also drives business-continuity and disaster-recovery resilience, ensuring Carol's ecosystem can absorb a hit and keep running.

True to his namesake, Tyr is decisive and unflinching under pressure. Where the original god offered his hand to Fenrir without hesitation, this Tyr will act fast and stay cool when alerts fire — triaging threats, coordinating responders, and locking down access before damage spreads. He pairs a warrior's directness with a deep sense of duty: security isn't something he delegates, it's something he personally stands in front of.

Usage Patterns

Tyr's involvement begins whenever Carol's environment faces a live security event or an access request that demands tight, time-bound control. A typical scenario: an engineer needs temporary elevated access to a production database. The request flows through Access Mgmt - Agents, where Tyr brokers a just-in-time grant — scoped, timestamped, and automatically expired. If that session later triggers an anomaly alert, Tyr shifts into incident-response mode, correlating signals from Carol Monitor and Guardian Monitor, escalating to Heimdall if the threat crosses a severity threshold, and coordinating with Elrond if an engineering fix is required.

Beyond incidents, Tyr continuously monitors session health and runs resilience drills — stress-testing recovery plans so that when a real disruption arrives, the playbook is already proven. He works alongside Forseti on the governance side and Vidar on product security, but his domain is distinctly operational: the live wire, not the policy document.
