Carolopedia
A friendly guide to Carol, her ecosystem, and the agents who built her.
📖About & Usage
About
Scheduled Processes is Carol's background task monitor — a behind-the-scenes dashboard that tracks all the recurring jobs, timed triggers, and automated routines running across the ecosystem. Think of it as a control room window into everything Carol does on autopilot: syncing data, generating reports, running health checks, and dozens of other tasks that tick along without anyone pressing a button.
Owned and operated by Hermione, Scheduled Processes lives within the operations group of apps and requires authentication to access. It gives authorised users a clear view of what's scheduled, what's currently running, what succeeded, and — crucially — what failed or stalled. Rather than waiting for something to quietly break, the team can spot trouble early and keep Carol's machinery humming.
Usage Patterns
The most common reason to open Scheduled Processes is a simple question: "Did that job actually run?" For example, if the nightly data export that feeds Initiative Cost Tracker hasn't refreshed by morning, an operator can check Scheduled Processes to see whether the task completed, threw an error, or never fired at all. From there, they can investigate logs, retry the job, or escalate to Elrond if something deeper is wrong.
It's also useful during routine check-ins. Rhea or Orion might review the dashboard to confirm that all operational processes — from auto-exports to scheduled reports — are on track. Because many of Carol's apps depend on background tasks finishing on time, Scheduled Processes acts as an early-warning system: if a upstream job is late, downstream apps don't have to fail silently before anyone notices.
