📖About & Usage
About
Every system administrator needs a paper trail — and in Carol's world, that administrator is Radagast. The Radagast — Admin Log is the dedicated audit ledger that records every privileged ("sudo") action Radagast performs across the ecosystem, along with the verification checks that confirm those actions completed correctly.
Think of it as a security camera pointed squarely at the most powerful account in the building. Whether Radagast is rotating credentials, modifying infrastructure configs, or granting elevated access, this app captures what was done, when, and whether it passed verification. Because the log is restricted to admin-level access only, it serves as an internal accountability tool rather than a general-purpose dashboard — ensuring that even the admin is auditable.
Usage Patterns
The Admin Log fires automatically whenever Radagast executes a privileged operation — no manual entry required. A typical scenario: Radagast grants temporary sudo access to Orion (Orion, the Deputy Admin) for an infrastructure maintenance window. The log captures the grant action, timestamps it, and records the subsequent verification that Orion's elevated permissions were revoked once the window closed.
The app sits within the Build pipeline card group and is primarily consumed during security reviews, incident investigations, or compliance audits led by Themis or Heimdall. If something unexpected happens in the environment, this log is one of the first places the team checks to see whether a privileged action preceded the anomaly. It runs on port 7213 and is not publicly accessible — by design, only admins can view their own audit trail.
